The programme is designed for editing scientific papers after their translation into English. The service makes it possible to eliminate inaccuracies in machine translation, remove misprints and improve academic English. It works on the basis of artificial intelligence containing billions of model sentences from various sources of scientific literature.
Official Website: https://writefull.com/.
Resource features:
- Checks the text for grammatical and spelling mistakes.
- Suggests appropriate terms from different areas of knowledge, model sentence structures.
- Provides options for practiced word usage.
- Constructs sentences with regard for language rules and in the context of specific disciplines.
- Is available in a demo version.
- A number of series for private users, publishers and academic organisations are available.
How does Writefull work?
Although the service is in English it is easy to use. It is sufficient to go to the ‘For researchers’ section (or use the link https://writefull.com/researchers.html) and upload a work in the MS Word or Overleaf format.
In response, one will receive comments on the text with recommendations for correcting grammatical, punctuation, spelling, stylistic mistakes and incorrect word usage. The artificial intelligence comments are based on the results of comparing the author’s work with the previously published materials on the same topic, already uploaded to the Writefull database.
